Welcome to Foothill NV DECA, a student led organization operating under the international nonprofit Career and Technical Student Organization DECA inc. Our chapter’s purpose is to help students strengthen skills in business, marketing, finance, hospitality, career development, and leadership to help members prepare for future careers. We do this through competition, community service, meetings, and events.

What happens at Foothill NV DECA
Foothill NV DECA is open to all students. Foothill High School offers several business classes, including Principles of Business and Marketing, Business Management 1, Business Management AS, and the newly added AP Business with Personal Finance, all taught by our advisor Mr. Rapant. Throughout the year members will attend weekly meetings to teach students about marketing and hospitality. Students will also have the opportunity to build work experience through our student-based enterprise where we press designs onto shirts. We also offer many more opportunities for job experiences by participating in our community service. Students also gain real-world experience through our student-based enterprise, community service projects, and DECA competitions. Members may compete at the Nevada State Career Development Conference (SCDC) and, by qualifying, advance to the International Career Development Conference (ICDC). These experiences help students strengthen public speaking, teamwork, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Meeting information
Meetings are held every Wednesday before school and Friday after school in room 728 unless otherwise stated. Students who may be interested in joining DECA can come to a meeting or reach out to an officer or our advisor to join our club.
